Dear Mr. and Mrs. Marn:

With a rise in urbanization and an ever-increasing population, our natural areas face a major threat. Greenview Open Space District attempts to combat this through preserving areas of land for people of all ages and backgrounds to immerse themselves in and get away from it all, even if only momentarily.

Greenview O.S.D is a non-profit organization that wants to enable the community to enjoy nature by purchasing open space to dedicate to this purpose. The constant hustle and bustle can wear on people, which Thoreau recognized as early as the 1800’s. Nature is therapeutic for many, while also providing an educational tool for children and a wonderful place to get exercise -- either with or without a dog.

However, Greenview cannot continue and grow without donations from those who enjoy our parks and/or want them to remain protected. Donations will help purchase more land for future parks. With more parks, comes more job opportunities for the area. Any donation will assist not only Greenview and their mission, but also the community as a whole with increased employment and recreation. Included in the letter is a brochure with additional information about Greenview, a reply card and return envelope and maps of all of our parks. We hope that, whether or not you are able to donate, you come enjoy our parks.
